Travelling With Children

We know that travelling with children and infants can require extra planning. Read this section to plan your journey or to find out about unaccompanied minors.

On the day

We suggest you plan your route in advance to ensure you have enough time for airport arrival and passenger processing with children or infants. For international flights, passengers should arrive at the airport 3 hours prior to flying. This will help to ensure a smooth check-in experience and transition through the airport.

Check-in closes 1 hour prior to the flight and you should arrive at your allocated gate a minimum of 30 minutes before take-off. If you have any questions about travelling with children or infants on our flights, please contact our friendly ground staff or cabin crew who will be happy to assist you.

Age limitations for Children and Infants

The Unaccompanied Minor service is compulsory for children ages 5-11 traveling without an adult passenger who is at least 15 years old.

Children under 5 years of age cannot travel unless they are accompanied by an adult over the age of 15 years.

One infant may travel per adult.

Infant: Age under 2 years

Child: Age 2 years - 11 years

Adult: Age 12 and above

Please note that Nauru Airlines aircraft are not fitted with bassinets.

Baggage Allowance - Children

Children are passengers aged 2-11 years of age. The baggage allowance for children is the same as for adult passengers. For more information about baggage allowances and fare types, please click here or contact our reservations team at [email protected].

Baggage Allowance - Infants

Infants are passengers under 2 years of age. For passengers travelling with infants, accompanying adults may carry 10kg of baggage and check-in one (1) of the following for free: stroller or bassinet or car seat. If any of these items are used to board the aircraft, the items will be stowed in the hold after boarding and returned to you at the destination port. These items must be presented at the boarding gate no later than 45 minutes prior to departure.

Infants and children must be accompanied by an adult. Children can travel alone if they are booked as an Unaccompanied Minor. Please refer to the section on Unaccompanied Minors for more information.
